Our last visit to Baguio City was a side trip from our Sagada tour. This time, we’ll spend 3 days and 2 nights exploring more of the food scene in Baguio City. While we’ll visit a few spots in Baguio, our main goal is to try the must-visit restaurants and cafes around the area.
We arrived in Baguio City around noon. To maximize our Baguio experience, instead of checking in first, we went straight to the first restaurant on our list.
The Barn, an artisan restaurant that offers a scenic view. Situated in Ambuklao Road just a few minutes in the outskirts of the busy city of Baguio.
After a sumptuous lunch at The Barn, we took a side trip to the Igorot Stone Kingdom. Igorot Stone Kingdom is one of the newest attractions in Baguio, it is a man-made park made out of stone that showcases Igorot culture.
We only explored a small part of the Igorot Stone Kingdom because it was gloomy and drizzling during our visit.
From there, we drove south to Mirador Heritage and Eco-Spirituality Park, situated on Mirador Hill. This place has been a pilgrimage site for some time. Now, the park features Japan-inspired sections, such as the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and a Torii Gate.
After a photo session at Mirador Heritage and Eco-Spirituality Park, we drove about 10 minutes west to Rebel Bakehouse, which offers pastries, coffee, and a few dishes. We only bought a box of pastries as it was already late and almost dinner time.
For dinner, we drove about 20 minutes east to try Grumpy Joe, an affordable pizza place that also serves Italian and American comfort food.
After dinner, we drove about 20 minutes southwest to our Airbnb, Tudor in the Pines.
We started our second day late. The first restaurant on our list was 113 Wagner Café, a private home dining experience hidden in Baguio City.
After leisurely spending our noon at 113 Wagner Café, we headed northeast to Mines View Park. Our plan was not to visit Mines View Park but to buy local goods at the market across from the park.
Then, we went to Vanilla Glasshouse Café for an afternoon coffee and tea.
Still satiated from the food we had eaten, we decided to go back to Tudor in the Pines and call it a day.
On our last day, our plan was to head back to Manila early to avoid traffic. So, we checked out around 10 am and went to the city.
We did a side trip to Victoria Bakery for cream puffs before heading to our last restaurant in Baguio.
To end our Baguio City food trip experience, we skipped the new spots and tried something nostalgic: Don Henrico’s, a classic Italian restaurant famous in Baguio since the 90s.

You can visit Baguio City all year round because of its cool climate. For me, the best time to visit Baguio City is November and January. The reason for this are: to avoid the crowd of Panagbenga Festival in February, summer vacations from March to April, the rainy season from June to October and the family gatherings on December.
