This blog is a little different from my usual posts. There will be no amazing views or exciting adventure. But still, this one is special because it is about giving back. Yes, giving back to Mother Nature.

La Mesa Nature Reserve Tree Planting

Our company decided to do tree planting as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Some benefits of planting trees are: a future with clean air, a habitat for birds, animals and insects, reduces air temperature, and so much more.

In coordination with ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. our company scheduled a tree planting activity to support the Bantay Kalikasan’s Save La Mesa Watershed Project.

The foundation conducted an orientation for better appreciation of the activity. Then, a quick tutorial on how to properly plant a tree. Next is the 5km hike going deep into the lush forest.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

As soon as we arrived on our designated area, we wasted no time and planted the seedlings.

After completing the activity, we went back riding a tractor with a cart. Squeezing ourselves to fit in because we are too tired to walk back. Even with discomfort, everyone still enjoyed the experience.

La Mesa Nature Reserve

By planting trees in La Mesa Nature Reserve, we are preserving the last remaining forest in Metro Manila. Which also protects the watershed.

This watershed is the main source of water for people living in Metro Manila. We may not see or feel the immediate impact of the activity but everyone will benefit from this in the future.
