We had the opportunity to revisit the food hub at CVI Building just along Sta. Rosa – Tagaytay Road in the area of Silang, Cavite. We already covered Burger Mama Café and Himawari Specialty Coffee. Now, we will cover Cecil's Café, a small restaurant serving home-cooked meals.

Cecil's Cafe

Cecil's Café has a simple interior with the atmosphere of an old Filipino house, giving it a homey feel. The dining area is small, but it feels a bit spacious for its size.

Cecil's Cafe

Cecil's Cafe offers a one-page menu that features Filipino, Chinese and some international dishes.

For this experience, we sampled their Puto and Dinuguan. I really like their version; it reminded me of my mom's cooking.
It was so good that I ordered extra rice.

The next dish we tried was Rellenong Bangus Wrapped with Bacon. Served as a rice meal served with atchara on the side.

Although the prices were a bit high, Cecil's Cafe serve decent portions and the dishes we tried were enjoyable. Cecil’s Café is a hidden gem if you are looking for quality home-cooked-style dishes along Sta. Rosa – Tagaytay Road.

Recommendations: The highlight of our experience was Puto and Dinuguan.

Tip: They also serve some of the specialties from an old restaurant in Greenhills called Green Patio. The recommended dish was Fresh Amoy Lumpia.
