A Mano is an Italian restaurant by Amado Fores. The concept of the restaurant is derived from its name, A mano - which means “by hand”. Creating handcrafted Italian dishes with the guiding principle of Fresh and Faithful Italian.
We’ve visited their 2nd branch in BGC. With glass walls, you can see the whole restaurant from outside. The restaurant has a modern-day interior. It has the main dining area, a bar and an open kitchen. It also has several tables for al fresco dining.
A Mano’s menu showcases a variety of Italian dishes from all over Italy. Since this is our first time, most of what we ordered are based on the recommendations of the service crew.
For starters, we’ve tried Gnocco Fritto con Salumi. A fried Gnocco Puff topped with a thinly sliced salumi.
and Mozzerelline Fritte or fried mozzarella balls.
A Mano was included in the 50 Top Pizza Asia Pacific 2022. So pizza is a must in this restaurant. We’ve tried their Prosciutto e Rucola for the tomato based.
4 Formaggi under the white selection.
A Mano is also known for its pasta. They have a wide selection of handmade pasta. We tried to order as many as we can. First is Ravioli con Ricotta e Spinaci – a Ravioli with spinach and ricotta filling.
Spaghetti Carbonara, done in the traditional way.
Fusilli all'Americana con Burrata. A tomato based pasta with a generous serving of burrata on top.
Aglio Olio e Peperoncino.
Tagliatelle al Ragù. Meat in red sauce with Parmiggiano-Reggiano.
Lastly, Garganelli Bianco. Pasta with truffle butter sauce. Topped with thinly sliced Prosciutto di Parma.
For desserts, we ordered Cannoli Siciliani. This is an Italian pastry with 3 flavors: Classic, Pistachio, Chocolate
They also recommended the Lemon Delight. A lemon flavored sponge cake.
Partnered the dessert with a cold coffee (forgot the name of this).
I really like the concept of handcrafted Italian food. Staying true to the traditional way of cooking and using only the basic ingredients but creating a wonderful dish.
Recommendations: pizza is a must.
Tip: Reserve a table because A Mano is always packed especially in peak hours.
